Ever enterprising Nigerian youth have devised a way of getting to keep some of MTN’s potential earnings by making free calls anytime.
The trick is: you’ve got to get some MTN credit on your phone, say N500. You initiate a Share n Sell transfer of the N500. When the confirmation to send ‘YES’ to 777 comes in, you start making a call. While the call is being processed, ringing, send your YES text. The airtime/credit goes to your friend’s phone, while you too can continue that particular call (don’t try cutting it) for whatever the N500 is worth. After the call, you simply transfer your credit back.
IT’s a no-brainer right? OK, maybe I am not supposed to do this, maybe I am. By the way, MTN is not monitoring this blog
Either way, I am not in any way encouraging this. I am telling you and I am telling MTN as well. Whoever reads it first, gets it first. Again, welcome the power of social media.
By the way, MTN has been acting funny in the last few hours; the calls can come in but you can do nothing from your phone – be it making calls, sending SMSes or checking airtime balance.
